Notes:
The complete Plankton Time Series collection (see above under Original Data), contains samplings that were done at other locations than the Station II. Our database contains only the data for samples that were taken at the Long term sampling site, aka Station II ( Lat: 41 deg. 34' 2" N, Long. 71 deg. 23' 4" W ).
Currently only Physical data and Chlorophyll data have been imported into Buoy Data Viewer, we are working on adding Nutrients and Zooplankton data as well.
NOTE: Please keep in mind that Plankton Time Series's chlorophyll (chlorophyll a) were determined with different methods than the NBFSMN's chlorophyll values. See weekly sampling procedures link
For data prior to 1999: Please honor the contributions of Prof. Smayda by properly citing the 1959 to 1997 NABATS data as: "Smayda, T.J. & the Bunker C community (1959-1997). Narragansett Bay Plankton Time Series. Graduate School of Oceanography, URI. Data available at: NABATS.org"
